John's Story

Life After Graduating from "The Paul" I went to work as a special education teacher and assistant football coach in Northampton Co. Va (the eastern shore)for five years. My sweetheart, Sandra Jefferson, remember her,was an elementary ed teacher there with me. We moved back to Richmond after 5 years and got married. She became a substitute in Richmond while I worked as a psychiatric nurse and security officer for the City's venues, the stadium, Coliseum, Landmark Theatre, etc....She got bored with me after a few years and we divorced. She moved back to Emporia and I met a lady who had a 3yr. old son and she gave me a son (now 22). We spent a lot of time with sports and they both chose basketball. We did the summer camps thing, t...Expand for more
he AAU tournaments and the lot. They both received scholarships to Gonzaga Univeristy, Spokane Wa. I became ill due to kidney failure and had to change professions. I went to work for the Greater Richmond Transit Company where I spent 20 years as a driver and supervisor for the company while on dialysis. I recently retired from the Company and am now just relaxing for the most part. I'm still on dialysis but working part time at the airport as a dispatcher for a transportation company there. (Limos, buses, vans, cars, charters, etc...) Its enough to keep me busy. I found another country girl from King William Co and we were married in 2001. When you get a chance to drop a line or two, please do so. I would love to hear from you.
